ゆはらやすひと個展「忘れものたち」
There are things I left behind long ago.
Perhaps they were memories from before words existed, or dreams I had as a child.
As I touched the clay and searched for form, beings began to emerge. They seemed like living creatures, yet also like traces of someone I once knew.
They appear to have names, and yet they do not.
They feel like distant memories, yet they are here with us now.
They do not tell stories.
They simply remain, quietly present, reminding us of the faint presence of what we have forgotten.

Goyo Gallery is pleased to present Yasuhito Yuhara’s solo exhibition, his first in Japan in approximately three years.
The forms that emerged through the artist’s engagement with clay and his search for shape resemble living creatures, while at the same time evoking the lingering presence of someone once known. They seem to have names, yet remain unnamed. They feel like distant memories, yet quietly exist here in the present. These works gently awaken memories and sensations that existed before language, things we have gradually forgotten over time.
Through both sculpture and painting, this exhibition invites viewers into a new world envisioned by Yasuhito Yuhara.
