First of all, I sincerely thank you for taking the time to read this. I am HASE.

I had planned to write about the background of this exhibition which titled “I thought it’s OK with this after time passed.” But as the date approaches, I find myself wondering if perhaps it’s not necessary to write such things after all. So…here I am, at the end of July, with these mixed feelings.

On television, many people participate in the Olympics, and surely, there are many different things happening. But even if you’re not in the Olympics, everyone has their own challenges and moments, at least that’s what I like to think.
As for me, I’m just living my life, perhaps getting caught up in trivial things, but still, I’m grateful for it all. Amidst all this, albeit slowly and steadily, I continue working on my paintings.

…It seems that this text may not find a neat conclusion. However, I think I will let it be a part of “I thought it’s OK with this after time passed.” for now.
Writing this, I also came to feel that paintings, in the end, are perhaps an interim resolution we cannot escape from, just like this text.
